Notes from May 1, 2019 Meeting
Dear Everybody,
We began our monthly business meeting with the 50/50 raffle, which gathered $56. Jody Serey was the winner, and asked that the funds be given to Susan Fitzgerald for the Community Baby Shower.
A number of thank yous were offered for jobs well done. Brooke Schiavone and Susan Fitzgerald both thanked Robin McCord and her company for helping them face the upcoming heat with cool heads (and everything else, for that matter).
Ami Fraus announced that she and Terry are celebrating their anniversary, which is number 44. May 1 is also daughter Amber’s birthday.
Melinda McCorkle asked for recommendations for a housecleaner. We all agreed that a housecleaner would be a great addition to our membership, and would probably find herself chasing more dirt than a tabloid reporter. Any referrals will be appreciated.
Brooke Schiavone and Z’s Fine Jewelry have a variety of events and special offers coming up in time for Mother’s Day, graduation, Father’s Day, and more. Be sure to watch Z’s Facebook page to keep up with everything. In fact, be sure you check in with each other’s social media when you have a few minutes. Irritate your kids and family. Stare at your phone for awhile. Ask them how it feels.
Robin McCord of AZ Perfect Comfort was the member speaker, and gave us insight as to how she got started in the HVAC business. Her background is in nursing, which has helped her break the news to HVAC clients that their AC might not survive another summer. Robin is a master heat pump technician, and works hands-on in the business. We got excellent dos and don’ts for getting the most out of our cooling systems. AZ Perfect Comfort specializes in Trane equipment. As Natalie Stahl once commented in amazement about Robin,
She’s up on my roof right now in her cute shoes!”
The meeting was adjourned, and we went back out into the horrendous traffic that seemed to appear for no good reason on Wednesday morning. Who were all those people? And what were they doing in the West Valley when we were trying to get to a meeting?
