Notes from January 23, 2019 Meeting

Dear Everybody,

We had good meeting this morning, and shared a lot of tips on getting various kinds of reviews, including on Google and Yelp.

Last call was issued for the upcoming newsletter. We decided, too, that Ami’s listing in the newsletter can indicate that she serves a limited number of select clientele. A minor turf war broke out over who gets curtains made first.

It was also decided that unless anybody wants the February raffle in two weeks, we will have a 50/50. If you get caught by a sudden urge to sponsor the raffle, the option remains open.

Glendale City Council’s Lauren Tolmachoff has announced that there will be another Shred Event on Saturday, February 2 at the Foothills branch of the Glendale Library from 8 to 11 a.m. The library is located at 19055 N. 57th Avenue, Glendale 85308.

Natalie’s book will be released in the very near future, and a signing party will be held. The working title is Aisles for Miles.

Wendy is collecting dresses that will go to girls who need a bit of fairy godmother to get to the prom this year. All sizes are needed.

I received word this afternoon that Jesse Ramirez, CEO of the Valley View Community Food Bank, has been selected by Congresswoman Debbie Lesko as the first Copper Star Recipient. As a member of his board, I am personally very pleased that he is going to be Congressman Lesko’s first Congressional Recognition Recipient. Also, Judy and Brooke, David and I delivered all of your donations today. Thank you so very much for your support. (Brooke, I did remember to keep your bins. I will give them to you next week.)

If I have forgotten anything, I am sure somebody will remind me. In the meantime, have a great rest of the week, and be careful out there. Drivers are being idiots.
